Providing Agricultural Advice to Farmers
Cisco Systems is expanding its LifeLines agricultural advisory serviceĀ to 40,000 farmers in 700 villages in rural India. The information and communications technology company is working in collaboration with BT and OneWorld to provide rural farmers with critical and timely information on a range of agricultural issues. By expanding the advisory service, Cisco and its partners hope to improve crop yields and increase incomes for India’s rural farmers.
