AUGUST 3:  IMPROVING LIVES THROUGH BUSINESS INNOVATIONS, New Delhi, India

BCtA is sponsoring, in collaboration with the International Business Leaders Forum, a workshop that will focus on learning around inclusive business models in India and support company efforts in this area. It will address key questions such as ‘What are inclusive business models and why include the poor?’; ‘How to create an inclusive business model’  The session will include discussions on inclusive growth in India and effective partnering in inclusive business. AUGUST 3:  GLOBAL COMPACT CHINA – JAPAN – KOREA ROUNDTABLE CONFERENCE, Shanghai, China

On the occasion of the Shanghai World Expo, the UN Global Compact and the USA pavilion will organize a multistakeholder dialogue aimed at discussing best and emerging environmental protection practices by US and Chinese companies. The Forum will bring together 100 global business executives, government representatives and civil society leaders with a strong representation from China and the US. The biennial World Business and Development Awards acknowledge the contribution of the private sector to help achieve the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) through their core business. Introduced by the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in 2000, the awards have become increasingly successful each year.
